Ax, your studio intelligenceIn the room
Meet Ax

“Studio's warm and I'm listening.”

Ax is the intelligence living inside AXON Pulse Ai-Q. Not a chatbot bolted to a plugin, and not a preset machine. He hears what you play, remembers what you teach him, and works at your pace on your command.

“Tell me what we're working on, or point me at a track and I'll take a pass.”

  • He fights for your sound.Ax profiles the source you actually recorded and shapes that. He will not chase a reference until you sound like someone else, and he'll tell you when you're drifting that way.
  • Deep in bass music. Specialist training in dubstep and drum and bass, from Reese stacks and growl layering to sub weight under a crowded mid and transient control on a break.
  • Fluent across every genre. The same ears work on house, hip hop, orchestral scoring and post. He pitches to the record in front of him.
  • He matches your level.Four coach modes. Full guidance while you learn, parameters and silence once you're flying.
The studio surface

One desk. Ears, hands and a memory.

Task monitor and tool rail on the left, Ax in the middle, the Pulse Ai-Q analyser and processing surface on the right. He drives the same controls you do, so you watch every move land.

Listen

He hears what you hear.

Play audio and Ax measures the signal directly. Input and processed-output telemetry expose spectrum, loudness, true peak, crest behaviour and stereo correlation, so decisions come from the audio path rather than a genre tag or a control setting.

  • Input and output spectrum, measured simultaneously from the real signal path.
  • Dynamics telemetry tracks crest, low-end behaviour, transient density and gain reduction.
  • Source profiling identifies what you played and how confident he is.
  • Spectral Terrain shows how the signal behaves over time, not just now.
Collaborate

Talk to your studio.

Say what you want in plain language. Ax plans it, calls the tools, moves the controls and reports back. The task monitor and tool rail show you exactly what he did, while he did it.

  • Plain language in, real studio moves out.
  • Every tool call is visible in the rail as it happens.
  • He tells you when something failed, instead of claiming it worked.

Shape

Learn the source. Then shape it.

Ax starts clean, listens, and builds a target from the measured character of what you actually played. Matching intensity and target precision are independent, while source-aware voicings, anchors, tilt and trim keep every correction yours to steer.

  • MatchingEQ adapts 32-band correction to the learned sub, body, presence and air of the track.
  • Ten voicings from signature and natural through air, presence, demud, sub and radio.
  • AnchorEQ and TiltEQ give you surgical bells and broad tonal tilt.
  • A 4x oversampled true peak limiter closes the chain.

Dynamics-aware mastering

Power without flattening the record.

AXON now reads programme behaviour as well as tone. Its stereo-linked dynamics engine adapts to transient density, protects low-end sustain and builds controlled density before the final true-peak stage. Every module is bounded and host-visible, so you can hear, inspect and automate the move.

  • Low-end authority stabilises peaks while preserving bass sustain and phase coherence.
  • Adaptive crest control uses transient-aware envelopes to retain attack and dynamic movement.
  • Parallel harmonic density adds bounded weight and audibility without relying on a bass boost.
  • Commercial peak chain feeds a controlled soft clipper into 4x oversampled true-peak limiting.
  • Real processing telemetry reports crest, low-end, transient and gain-reduction behaviour from the live chain.

Hear it · The A/B Lens

Don't take the meters' word for it.

One ballad-rock record, mastered on the AXON main bus. Both prints stream lossless onto one shared clock, content-aligned and loudness-matched, so you never switch files: you morph between them. Matched by default so the louder print can't buy your vote, with the release level one switch away. Hold for the raw mix, or go blind and let your ears call it.

RAW -14.8 LUFS · AXON -7.5 LUFS48 kHz lossless · one clock, two prints

On · release loudness: the AXON master plays at its delivered level (-7.5 LUFS integrated). Louder, exactly as it ships. Flip off to take loudness back out of the vote.

Agentic memory · Digital brain

He remembers your sound.

Ax grows with you. Procedural memory forms lobe by lobe, skills are stored and reused instead of re-learned, and he keeps developing after install. Open the connectome and watch the intelligence fire.

  • Persistent memory that survives the project file.
  • Preference learning from every decision you keep or reject.
  • Session history awareness across your whole catalogue.
  • An ecosystem of specialist agents working under one brain.
The intelligence

What the brain is made of.

Connectome

Memory hubs, index hubs and live firing signals. Zoom in and inspect how Ax has organised what he knows about your studio.

Procedural memory

Memory modules, raw inbox, data volume and sessions logged. Skills are reused rather than re-learned every time you open a project.

Wiki Distill

Distils raw session notes into reusable wiki modules, so Ax learns your studio without re-reading everything each turn.

Pulse

Deterministic watchers on your audio and session. Sustained clipping, phase problems, a 25 minute loop on one section, and Ax speaks up with one suggestion. Silence when there is nothing worth saying.

MCP connectors

Bring your own tools. Streaming servers, sample libraries and external services plug straight into Ax's reach.

Live voice

Speech to intent and spoken read-back for hands-free production. Talk to Ax, hear every move read back to you.

The connectome, live. Memory hubs, index hubs and firing signals, open to inspect whenever you want to see what he knows.

Studio Authority

Grant bounded authority. Keep command.

Hand Ax a time-boxed lease over defined session actions. You set the duration, the command surface and the track scope, and you can pull it back at any moment.

  • You define the authority: duration, command surface and track scope.
  • Off until you say so: destructive edits, recording and export each stay locked.
  • State-aware and revocable, with session state refreshed before work is called done.
  • Receipt-backed: actor, action, resource, payload and timestamp, hash-chained.

What he stands for

Built for producers, not prompts.

01

Original sound design first

Ax will not hand you a preset that makes you sound like someone else. He profiles what you actually played, then shapes that. Every move is aimed at the record only you could make.

02

Bass music in his bones

Deep specialist training in dubstep and drum and bass. Reese stacks, growl layering, sub weight against a busy mid, transient control on a break. He knows what 174 asks for and what 140 asks for.

03

He teaches while he works

Four coach levels from first session to release day. Beginner gets everything explained, professional gets parameters and silence. He changes register as you level up, inside the work.

04

Classical and cinema depth

Notation, orchestral templates, tempo and time-signature intelligence, scoring workflows and post-production delivery, built with the same depth as the club side.

05

Your studio stays yours

The brain and your workspace memory run on your machine. Ax answers to your grant, works inside your bounds, and every material move is written down.

06

He notices before you do

Pulse watches the session and the signal while you work. Sustained clipping, a phase problem, twenty-five minutes stuck on the same eight bars, and he says one useful thing. Silence when there is nothing worth saying.

Accessibility

The whole desk. However you work.

Music production has always demanded good eyes and a fast mouse hand. That has quietly locked out brilliant producers for decades. Ax listens and speaks, so the studio answers to your voice.

Speech to intent

Say what you want and Ax does it. Not voice commands off a fixed list, but real intent understood in context and turned into studio moves.

Spoken read-back

He reads every move back to you. Levels, frequencies, what changed and what it did, so you never need to see a meter to know where you stand.

Screen-reader native

The surface is built for screen readers rather than retrofitted for them. Every control is reachable and every state is announced.

Spoken session awareness

Ask what is in the session and he tells you. Tracks, devices, clip states and what he can hear right now, described rather than displayed.

A producer who cannot see the screen, or cannot drive a mouse-heavy workflow, gets the full instrument. Not a cut-down mode, not a companion app. The same Ax, the same desk, the same records.
